（路透華盛頓3日電）美國執法機關人士今天透露，聯邦調查局（FBI）局長柯米所以決定告訴國會，聯調局正在調查與民主黨總統候選希拉蕊．柯林頓有關的新發現電子郵件，部分原因是擔心內部會走漏消息。
這些要求匿名的人士說，檢視這些電子郵件的工作由一個團隊負責，目前在華府聯調局總部在最嚴格保密情況下進行。
多位人士說，目前還不清楚聯調局是否會在8日的總統與國會大選前再公開披露此事的任何訊息。有兩位人士說，不太可能再透露此類訊息。
另一位最近與高層調查人員接觸過的人士則說：「這要看進行情況如何以及他們有何發現。」他又說，到今天為止，「沒有人真的知道」聯調局在選前是否還會披露任何事。
柯米（James Comey）28日致函資深國會議員揭露此事，距離大選只剩十天，對總統選舉投下震撼彈，引發外界質疑他的動機，並遭批評時機不當。
他只表示，聯調局正在檢視這些電子郵件，以了解是否與希拉蕊（Hillary Clinton）擔任國務卿時使用的私人電子郵件系統有關，他沒有提及電郵的內容，也沒說明要調查多久。
了解內情的一位人士說，檢視這些電子郵件的工作正「迅速」進行。
最早發現這些電子郵件的是聯調局的紐約調查站，熟悉這處調查站的兩位執法機關人士表示，據悉派駐紐約站的一派調查人員對希拉蕊懷抱敵意。不過，紐約調查站的發言人表示，她對此事並無所悉。
民主黨人士說，聯調局正在調查柯林頓基金會（Clinton Foundation），最近相關內情外洩媒體的情況大增，可能就是這幫人的傑作。中央社（翻譯）
